What does the Ultrafiltration Systems remove?

Stage 1 – Melt Blown Sediment Filter

Removes suspended (floating) particles including
Dust
Rust
Sand or small stones

Stage 2 – GAC Filter

Removes chemicals or bad tastes or odors in the water including
Chlorine
Volatile Organic Compounds and other chemicals

Stage 3 – Carbon Block Filter

Removes any residual suspended particles, chemicals, or bad tastes or odors that the first 2 filters have missed

Stage 4 – Ultra Filter Membrane

Removes very small suspended particles in the water including:
Microplastics
Silt or clay
Bacteria
Parasites

Stage 5 – Activated Carbon Polishing Filter

An extra “backup” carbon filter cartridge that removes any residual tastes and odors in the water that may have somehow not been removed by the previous 4 stages

What does this filter not remove?
Dissolved minerals (so if you have brackish water, this will not improve the taste as the unpleasant taste is caused by dissolved salts)
Dissolved minerals can only be removed through a more expensive and complicated reverse-osmosis process.
Hardness (so if you have hard water, this filter will not reduce the hardness)
Hardness can only be removed by reverse osmosis (although vastly reduces the lifespan of the reverse osmosis membrane) or by using a softening resin cartridge

The system consists of sediment, granular carbon, and a carbon block filter as pre-treatment and then an Ultra – Filtration membrane which filters down to 0.2 microns to remove bacteria and parasites.
The water then flows through an inline carbon polishing filter before flowing to your tap.

More Compact:
The 5 – stage UF offers excellent filtration and higher flow than a similar-sized Reverse – Osmosis unit, this means that it does not need an additional storage tank and is more compact.
The filter also uses industry-standard 10 inches slimline 10 x 2.5 replacement filters that most filter and hardware store stock.
